8.23.18

I guess i will simply call this piece "paint and fog". The size for this is 1920x1080 so if you wanted to set this as your screensaver then you can do it. First i looked up paint splatter and chose that image. I turned down the opacity on the image and then i looked up images of fog. From there i merged the fogy image and the paint splatter giving me this result

week 2

What i have made here is a noutan, now it may not be the best example there is of one but its something. I first made one side by covering half of the page with a black rectangle.  After that i started doing details with white shapes to contrast it. When i was happy with my result i duplicated the layer, inverted, and flipped it to match the original black layer

9.24.18 Typographic poster

I first stared with an 8x10" poster. The design elements that I chose to use were asymmetrical balance or just balance, visual hierarchy, and a bit of emphasis. First I illustrated a tree using illustrator and changed a side of the tree to give it the asymmetrical balance principle. I then moved the tree to Photoshop and made the gradient for the background. it took a bit of messing around with but i managed to make it work with the pink and yellow to make it look like a sunset. The grass was a bit tricky to get somewhat correct since i could not figure out what brush to use, either the 112 or the 134 brush could have worked but brush 112 worked the best. for the leaves I used brush 74 and spaced them out. The clouds were made with brush 30 with an opacity of 50-80. The leaves also add to the asymmetrical effect. The hierarchy and emphasis are only the tree, you just first look at the tree, whats in front of you. Just other than that this is a simple landscape, nothing else to say.

The way that i did this art work was by blurring the average on common spots. I used the Polygonal lasso tool or "L". To blur the average on any spot I formed a shape using the lasso tool and went through the menu Filter>Blur>Average, doing this it blurs the average color from there you do that all the way through the whole image until the desired parts are blurred. Its a simple thing to do but its repetitive and someone who is impatient wont enjoy this but someone who is patient enough will surely enjoy this, plus the end result looks really nice

10.30.18 Typographic poster

At the time of making this work on photoshop, "LGBT stands for lets get this bread" was a meme. The meme is for "early morning grinders" which are people that wake up early to get money or in this case money is bread. I find this meme funny to me so I wanted to do this in a ransom note style. The way that I did this is I searched up for magazine covers and selected the ones I liked. After that i cut out letters that worked and used them to make my masterpiece. The whole thing took me about 45 minutes to complete including resizing and choosing what covers I would use. When i had the whole phrase I used the LGBTQ flag as the back ground and moved the words to places where they seemed more appealing to me.

Semester 1 Final

The way I did this work was by following a photoshop tutorial. It was hard to do so at first but then it got pretty easy. I did not know what object to use so I used the image provided. I used the Osaka font as I like Japanese.

collage horizontal.jpg

Our class had to do a collage that "represents a story". The story is that this girl likes nature, thats it. It's a 10x8 sized collage. The background houses are from somewhere in China, where the village was being consumed by nature. The girls face is cropped off and is a forest instead. The hat was originally cut off but I got another hat and patched the texture. Then I added other things and set a sort of gloomy lighting effect over the image(s).

This here is my final project. The tutorial was from Bluelighting.com, and the face is Kendrick Lamar.
